The Trees (Step 1 of 6)

We start with whole trees and logs. Most of our raw material comes from trees which must be removed. Here's a dead black walnut tree to which the owners were very attached. We removed it, saving them a lot of money, and made almost 100 bowls. One especially large and beautiful bowl sold for $3,000. We gave the owners several bowls from the tree which serve as a memorial, alongside a framed poem written by one of their friends.
