This very old silver maple was removed from the main street of Hatfield, Massachusetts, because rot made it a danger to the house. The owner contacted us and asked for a bowl in return for the wood. We and the owner were happy with the deal. He got the 'pick of the litter' of the many spectacular bowls we were able to make from the burls which covered the tree. |
